Cannabinoids show promise in treatment of debilitating migraines
ENFLEUR is excited to share a recent review of the therapeutic benefits of cannabinoids, including CBD, in the treatment of migraines. In a recent study published in the rigorously peer reviewed journal Frontiers in Pharmacology, the effectiveness of cannabinoids are investigated in the treatment of migraines due to their anti-inflammatory, analgesic, anti-nausea, and anti-convulsive effects. The study concludes that cannabinoids are a “promising class of compounds” to treat migraines, both on the front-end as a preventative, but also acutely once a migraine has begun.
Migraines can come on suddenly, and to debilitating effect. Because CBD has been proven to be well-tolerated, even at acute doses, those who suffer from migraines would be well advised to consider how a high quality, potent CBD product might be able to improve quality of life.
Why does this matter? A recent review concludes that cannabinoids show promise in both the prevention and treatment of migraines.
