Hope for smokers: clinical study shows CBD can help quitters win
ENFLEUR would like to share a study released by Addictive Behaviors, an international peer-reviewed journal, CBD’s potential use in smoking cessation was investigated in a randomized, double-blind study. The group that received and used a CBD inhaler at the onset of cravings experienced a ~40% reduction in the amount of cigarettes smoked for the duration of the trial. The group that received the placebo experienced no change in the quantity of cigarettes smoked. This suggests that the endocannabinoid system (ECS) plays an important role in nicotine addiction, and that for those who want to quit smoking, there is good reason to seriously consider the use of a high quality CBD.
Why does this matter? Though the exact mechanisms are still unclear, CBD demonstrates a notable effect in smoking cessation for smokers who want to quit.
